I want to know how many watts a 25-30 gallon tank should have? I have a 65 gallon tank and I wanted to replace it's heater how many watts will it need? Thanks I might get the Fuval m series because i have 2 running in different tanks. They work nicely. I also like the design of the Fluval M series heaters.

depends how warm you want it or how hot you may want it to get if doing a heat treatment. I have a jaeger 300 watt in my 75g discus tank and usually like 4 watts per gallon. I can get that tank up to 92-95 degrees if needed. I only have a 25w in my 10g shrimp tank but that can only manage 78 degrees fully dimed out. Get jaeger heater from kensfish btw.

I have an aqueon pro 200w in my 55 gallon and it keeps it at a steady temperature. Plus it is unbreakable which is great if you have large fish. You might want to go with a 250w because your tank is bigger but I'm sure the 200w will do fine.

I will get 250 watts. I am a kid and do not have tons of money. So I can't get a super expensive heater. I will spend up to 30 dollars on a single heater. I might get Fluvals. I have 2 running and they work great.

Jaegers are cheap from kensfish. A 300 watt will be $30 shipped

That's were I got mine. Although the heater is a few degrees off. I mine is set at 82 and the tank is 85 but it's leaps above any heater i've owned
