U ever seen what a malfunctioning heater can do to a tank?

How about asking mom and dad to loan you the extra $10 and get a good heater? A heater is the one piece of equipment that can kill your fish the fastest why cheap out? Aquatop is not a good heater.
 
Heaters can cause massive disaster for a tank.

1) they can malfunction and boil ur fish
2) they can malfunction and break causes your tank to crack

Ok now that I know that they can boil fish maybe I will get a jagar. I think the some of good reviews on the aqutop heaters were fake and created by the seller. I have 2 fluval m series running are they good? I will get a jager I just want to know if fluval ms are low quilty okay quality or great quality. I looked at kensfish and I love it and I love the prices! I am planing on getting some filters there too. I wish I knew about kensfish earlier!
 
I do not need the heaters immidetly. My heaters are getting old and I wanted to replace them. One of them cooked itself when i was changing the water. It did not break it just looks brown.
 
The bigger watt of water heater,the faster your water will be heated.
Doesn't matter the diference of the watt varian.
The water heater also have the same temperature setting.
So I think it doesn't matter if you use a big watt water heater.

I'm using 250watt in my 50gallons tank.and it only needs about 2hour to heat the water.

Yes,and you should be concern if you have a bad character of fish,like arapaima,cichla,or arowana.
They can hit the water heater when they catch the goldfish.
And it cause your water full of electricity if it breaks.

I suggest you put the water heater in your sump filter If you have it.it will be more safe.
