do you guys think 2 300 watt heaters could heat a 125 to like, 78-80 degrees? (farenheitte)(spelling?)

yeah i so that and heat it to 87f

"H"..I got a 200watt heating a 125gal. Just put the heater by the in take of the filters inlet. It stays a good, 82 to 86.

Unless the room is freezing it should do it easily.

What's the avg temp in the room you might be able to get by with one.

I have my loach tank 180 gal with one 400 watt , kept at 84 f

I keep a 110 at 84 with one stealth 250, so i would think by all means that one would do it.

i heat mine to 83 with a 200 and a 150.

In my experience when using 2 heaters one does all the work... the second one sits idle but is still available as a back up if the first ones goes out.

I have a 125 gal & a 120 each heated by a Stealth 250 and they stay stable at 80~81*F... even when the fiance has the heat turned down to 66*F (I hate the cold).

i might just get a 200. i got a 150 laying around somewhere

Be sure to get a brand that you trust. I hear of more fish dying from failed heaters than any other piece of equipment failing...

I also do not support the using two heaters theory. As it is nearly impossilbe to get both heaters set at the exact same temperature so one does all the work anyway. Then with two heaters you are doubling your chances of one getting stuck in the on position and cooking your fish.

I'm seeing a whole lot of user experience up there that says one 250/300 W will work just fine for ya... ;)
