There is no definitive evidence on what causes DE. I very much doubt it is obesity, based on personal experience.

Go to Petco and get yourself a 55 gallon tank. They're having a $1/gallon sale right now, so it'll be 55 dollars.

I see some sort of filter on the left. The top left gives that away.

For more filtration, add sponge filters. They are inexpensive and do a good job.

yeah theres external filter bio, it does has sponge to it made by aquaclear, and yeah i did cycle the water

thats i dont know, what i know is is came from silver arowana tank with bunch of other similar size and aro, it has some pink by the gills and fins has blackish/pinkish to it, like i said its approx 5 1/2 inch long..in the process of training him with pellet now, no luck as soon as the pellet getting soft/sinking i pick it up with my trusty net fish, he bited the pellet and again spitted it out in my face LOL
so he is fasting right now till tomorrow

Unfortunately all asian aros are illegal in the united states. The only aros allowed in the united states are silvers,jardini,lei's and african aros..

I know it's a bummer,
