Help! Added rocks to tank and killed fish?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In the process of trying to work out the details as to how I could build him a pond, but that he couldn't get out of without ugly fencing or endangering the neighbors children if they are careless enough to stick a finger in there. I might just get a huge like 480 or 500 and put it in the garage, but I need to figure it out fast due to he is already getting pretty big and I hate having to constantly watch for signs of any agression. My EBJD that was in that tank died though the other day due to the whole rock thing.

Rocks explode when boiled? Interesting I've never had that issue. I done it both ways, bleaching or boiling.

i have baked rocks in my oven to kill bacteria.. put the rocks in the oven, then turn on the oven and when it reaches the 400 degrees your rocks will be over 200 degrees and safe to put in your aquarium right after they cool off.

i would like to see the rocks and know what minerals or chemicals they may have released into your tank. just adding rocks shouldn't have been an issue.

Since the rocks have been cleaned and I used my secret methods to 24 hour cycle the tank, I added a 14" Koi as a tester and he survived(:
