HELP Black arowana not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
All black aros are wild caught, give it some time. !t's just freaking out a bit. Imagine just two weeks ago it was swimming around in the amazon, now you got it in a 40. Feed it crickets as much as possible. It will help reduce stress, a full belly always helps me calm down :)

Oh yea how would I know that he is hungry and it's the time to pop some frozen blood worms in?

He doesn't even started eating since I brought him home .. But I think his new to the tank and when should I know he got used to the tank and will start eating ?

Offer food a couple times a day. Maybe one cricket. Drop the cricket in the tank and walk away so you don’t spook him. Eventually the fish will start to associate you with food and be right at the top of the tank begging for food. That’s the time to pellet train. Right now you just want to get it to eat. Make sure all uneaten crickets are removed. I would even keep the lights off for a few days to calm the fish down.

i'll try putting some crickets now.. wow it bite it then it let go and the cricket sinked and i have to take the plant out and put it back in

LOL !!! he only manged to eat the head... and now another worry my spotted gar cant find his food in the tank all the guppies are hiding under plants and logs what should i do?
