Help! Eye injury?

I’d follow the advise given and keep the water as clean as possible.
What are his tank mates? Anyone picking on him?

Also, what is the white spot near his eye on his forehead?

Well i did all i could. Near perfect water along with salt treatment. Came home tonight to find my little buddy over the rainbow fish bridge. What ever he had it was nasty. That small spot on his head turned into a nasty open hole. Rest in peace buddy. Hole in the head i assume?

Sorry for the loss. Not hith but a hole in the head from infection like abscess.

I really don’t know. I’d guess a really aggressive bacteria maybe?
