HELP - FILTRATION FOR 75g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You will not need anything else for the canister filter. Just a place to plug it in.
I ordered another penguin 400.. I read online it would add just as much bio/mechanical filtration as a can but it has more GPH then a similar priced can and its easier to clean

You can plug in whatever the unit can handle in terms of load. Air pumps should not be a problem at all. They are backup batteries you normally run your computer off of in case of a power outage. The price depends on how large of a UPS you get. First figure out what size you want to get by figuring out what you want to run off of it and for how long. They have free online calculators to help you out. APC which is a major manufacturer of these battery units has one of the calculators on their site. Then check Amazon, Bestbuy, Costco, Ebay for prices.

Thanks for the help. I went to my LFS and got a sponge filter fitted for a 50g aquarium running of my whisper 300 pump. Got that free with the return of my black belt cichlid. Along with the 50g sponge filter is a emporer 400 and another emporer 400 is on the way from amazon which will arrive tomorrow.
Until tomorrow I have a spare penguin 150 running
