for you to have decent water in a 10 gallon tank you will need to do a 25% water change daily or every other day. make sure to vacuum out all the leftover food and feces (fish poo). that should help alot. you won't be able to filter the water enough in a tank that small so this is the only way for you to keep the water clean. the tank is too small, but this is all you can do for now.
