  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks guys
It is bad if u get any dead spots right?
and what are the size of theses holes

the holes in our fbf filters are small i would just run pvc in and 90 or what ever needed to make it straight down and let it flow..... shouldnt have any dead spots but they wont hurt anything

post the progress of the project

I'll prob be doing this project this summer (im in another country right now)
I will be making :
DIY 900g plywood tank
DIY stand
DIY Reef background and rocks
DIY protein skimmer
DIY fluidized bed filter
DIY trickle tower
DIY sump
DIY automatic water changer
DIY lighting
ect.
right now i'm looking for materials, drawing plans, figuring out the problems and finding out how much it costs
I'll be shure to update u guys with the process once i start this thing!

Oh i almost forgot , does anybody know where to find large diameter pvc pipe in th 10" and 12" range? i have found most places sell for like 30$ per ft but thats a lot i also found this one place that sells for 16$ a ft they are both sch. 40 so i dont get the price diff??? any places i should check out?

Unless you want clear, check out the local commercial plumber or plumbing supply house. You might want to but in the States and carry it back to save a little :D.

If you want a diffuser, look into internal repair parts for a pool sand filter.
