Why are you assuming ich or velvet? Are there any white spots or goldish fuzz/flakes on the fish? Anything abnormal at all? That pleco almost looks like it had a bacterial infection, but it could look like that simply from being dead a while.

No spots or bumps that I can se. the rest look really healthy. But then again so did the Plec. It was fine this morning. I stopped looking at the tank for about 1/2 an hour and when I came back it was dead!

I dont know what is killing my fish but im worried

I don't see anything that suggests ich or velvet... The skinny fish you described suggests internal parasites. I would consider metronidazole both in water and in food, it is broad range enough to treat a variety of diseases.

where do I get the Metronidazole from?

With rapid death like that I would also worry it's some sort of toxin... Silly question but does anyone in the house spray anything like air freshener or bug killer in the house? Anything like that?
Metronidazole should be available at most pet stores including petsmart, but you have to check the ingredients of medication. A lot of them are just trade names...

No one sprays anything in the room that I am aware of. The tank is in my bedroom so I have full control over what is sprayed / not sprayed and I dont spray anything.

btw... do you know if there is a way I can be notified as to when someone replies to my thread. At the moment I have to check randomly.
