i will go to the lfs tomorrow to treat the dropsy -
pimafix is supposed to be good?

i will look for the flagyl if they have it, they dont always have the sme stuff here but always there is equivalent stuff.
 
i added epsom salt already
hope he will improve and no more scales will come up.

i will get meds tomorrow first thing and dose the tank

i will go to hollywood.
maybe pima fix will work, it says its also for internal bacterial infection.

but if not i will get metro or tetracycline as most people have suggested
 
i have been reading more on dropsy

looking more and more like what my aro has got

water is perfect.

i think it might be caused by indigestion that led to a infection due to weakening of the immune system

according to articles, its caused frequently by one or the other .... and both always onsetting after the other if water quality is not the issue.

here are the symptoms of dropsy

Big fat belly, not pregnant
Huge Swelling of Body
Bulging sides and stomach
Scales almost popping off
Scales may be forced outward
Eyes may pop out

i have every single symptom
the eye seems lke its swollen out of the sockets
scales are not popping off, the scales coming out only started yesterday
but everythingelse is there

apparently dropsy may be incurable?
is this true? i hope not

getting meds tomorrow

there are meds made by API and the like especialising in dropsy and internal infections

i will do a WC tomorrow
retreat with epsom salt THEN medicate
 
Have his eyes started to become sunken into his head? My 22'' jar became lethargic then got sunken eyes,2 days later my pride and joy was dead.
 
the eyes are sunken as in the eye ball looks like its larger than usual, coming out, not sunken as in the eyes are into the skull if thats whnat you mean
i mean its like .... in cartoons when the eyeball comes out and stuff

he looks still ok ish
but haning around the top alot

i am optimistic he will be alive tomorrow
and i will attempt to treat him

i actually feel really angry - i dont understand how we can get constipated whcih i believe caused the problem

he would eat a shrimp a day, maybe 2 at most. my other aros do the same.
over feeding may be a reason, i will give my other aros fasting days in this case. to ensure everything is out.

i even inject goldfish with garlic guard to ensure that their stomach is pushing out the stuff properly.
