i have treated wtih metro today.
will observe, if it gets worse in the next few days, then i am not optimistic.

i hope this will survive, but ... doesnt look good.
on one side, scales portruding have climbed up tot he back and near the tail, away from head and face.
the other side is jsut slightly elevated on the belly area, no extra protrusion.

i think i know what happened. or contributed to it.
water quality is always good, 0am, 0nitr, 10 to 30Nitrate.
sometimes, i feed and a few hours after feeding i do a wc. temp drops a few degrees. from 28 to maybe 23 to 24c.
i figure maybe when i did the wc, the food didnt digest properly as it was just consumed.
this is due to my manual wc.
i now hae a auto drop wc which dosent affect temps of the tank at all - and i can programme up to 220% on a weekly turn over if i wanted wtih out the temps dropping even 1 degree c.
anyways, i think this was my doing - due to my wc.
i feel angry as they are expensive and relatively rare in my country.
but none the less, lesson learnt to not do manual wc anymore.
