depends how big he is when i had a larger one he would only eat minnows and when i got a few smaller ones i got them on some pellets

Can I use table salt ,when it rain it pours, to heal his fin and hook hole ?

definitely a sunfish . . . I've read that wild-ones can be tough to feed, wanting only live foods, hard to get them on pellets

Bluegill/Sun fish... yeas you can use salt on almost any fish excluding loaches, knifes, and spiny eels, bichirs.

no not table salt use aquarium salt. and how many gallons is he in? and yes do a water change before if you want to

he will be easy to get off live if you have patients and if he is under 4'' you can still do it if hes bigger it'll just take a while
