The ACA in general hates flowerhorns or any other hybrid because they calim they are a threat to the purity of all cihlids since someone may mistake one for a trimac or something and breed it into a line of trimacs and then the fish is ruined genetically (in theory). Now that the name Flowerhorn has become so accepted there are most assuredly people out there that do not know that the fish are not a real species. Same thing with the blood parrot those are hated too.
