help identify this cichlid because i have no idea

I apologize goon 5150. What you have is a Red Devil, or a MiDevil. A Red Devil will morph its colors as it gets older. Eventually your fish will be all orange, and may get more black on it at times, but eventually will turn all orange. Now whether or not yours is a Red Dev or a cross with a Midas is tough to tell. I do know that Red Devils mouth/nose comes to a V, more of a point. Where as the Midas comes to a U, more blount and wider. Hope this helps.

unfortunately your probably still going to have problems in that 125 gallon tank as well
the Knife and oscar both grow large fast with the oscar creating a massive load by itself.
You may want to start looking for a 180 in the next 4-6 months and more filters or dropping the clown knife.
Mine has gone from 4" to about 14 in just over 6 months and he looks kind of big already for my 220.
