LV Golden Knights!
In addition to the pictures, he also has scratches on the bottom of his disk. A friend said it looks burnt, but the heater is in the sump below. When I setup this tank, I used media from the sump on my 360 gallon. About 20lbs, should I add more? Noticed the ammonia is between 0 and .25 ppm this morning and did a 50% wc. Please help, I dont want to lose him!!!

Added another 20lbs of media from the sump on my 360 to the 40 gallon sump. Will post water parameters in the morning. Hoping for the best!

very sickly ray. Add some salt to the tank bump up the temp to 86ish and keep it dark.

+1 salt, temp and get some live black worms in there ASAP to get it to eat. Aside from the skin peeling it looks very very very hungry. As stated keep the light off to reduce stress and run out and get a portion or two of live blackworms man. Let us know what happens. Goodluck man.

Keep up on water changes, I would do smaller more frequent water changes turning off light and leave off, also cover tank with blanket. Use prime to detoxify the ammonia if needed. Did you ever get it feeding. You need to get live black worms and/or ghost shrimp to keep in there at all times. If you cant get them try live red wigglers and throw them in live. They can live weeks in the water if it isn't salted heavily.
They can live quite a while without food, but you need to get it feeding and the best chance is live foods that sit on bottom easily caught in as secure and most comfortable setting possible.

What advantage is there to raising the temperature for this ray?

does not look good for that ray, sorry to see and hear the problems your having.

that is a very malnourished ray. It must have not ate for a long time. Were you told that it eating before you bought it? If you dont mind sharing, who did you get the ray from?
