I noticed he was acting a bit funny a few days ago, so I did a few water changes and treated the tank with melafix. I've been treating everyday since I noticed.

Today I come home and this is what he looked like. Did another waterchange, but I dont think its going to help.

He swims around real crazy and randomly crashing into all sorts of things.

Anyone have any ideas? Or input on what could've caused this?

What did you feed it? What are the water parameters?

I feed him market shrimp thats it.

As for parameters I can test it right now... everyone else in the tank is fine tho.

i am sorry to hear about your juruense, i have one that makes such an awesome addition to my aquarium, many things could have caused it. he could have been stressed out from any transfers, or even gotten sick from feeder fish, but whatever the cause may have been they are fragile. i always condition my water with aqua safe, i dont know if that makes a difference or not but it is doing a wonderful job for me.

Nitrates were high. I dont understand how.

Should I put him in the 400g? I've had an angel fish in it today. Water is prestine.

I'd bet my bottom dollar he dies before morning...

I dont understand how nitrates were high... i change water likes its going out of style...

Man, that sucks. I had a juvenile ripsaw cat that did the same thing. He had been eating and everything looked normal. One afternoon he just started acting funny, exactly like your video. He was gone within hours. I had 2 others that were fine in the same tank... and are still fine. My guess is that it was some sort of internal bacterial or parasitic infection. There were no physical signs, just behavioral. I hope you have better luck than I did.
