HELP leo acting funny

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
probably stray voltage....as long as it is eating i wouldnt worry

the twitchng is usually a water quality issues my rays have done it when the water is not in good shape double check ur water
and for stray voltage u can if u have a dvom (volt meter) u can dip one end in the water and the other to ground and it should'nt read anything
i used this method to find a bad heater

heaters are so cheap if you think you have a problem then change it right away

no point in risking a $2000 leo because of a $30 heater

I went out and bought a new test kit, checked it again and it showed an amonia reading of 1.5 :nilly: so i did another 50% water change, changed out half of my filters and will change out the other half tommorow

did you add bio spira or stability or anything like that???? what do you mean by change out the filter???

i have an fx5 so i swapped out some of the media in side no i didnt ad any spira or stability... was just swapping out the water and adding aqua safe for the clorine I also have 3 rays in a 150 for one more week till my 8'x3'x2' tank is up...

glad u double checked your water
get everything handled and the leo should be fine
pups are alittle more sensitive than adult rays

amonia still high, and they are still eating however not as much as they use to, i was gone on a buisness trip over the weekend and had my bro watching them, he never did a water change like i told him to .... whats the best amonia absorber to use? im using aqua pure in my fx5 i changed that out right away and did a nother water change today, ill be doing one every day till i get it back down

you know right before i had these problems i had a planaria outbreak and amonia was fine.. then i added salt and i dont see any planaria any more so im woundering if the dead planaria could cause this?
