Help! lone red devil laid eggs now i have fry!!!!!!

Either there are other cichlids in the tank or they are not red devil fry. Do you have 2 plecos?
 
It is possible for a female, in the absence of a male, to produce a tiny amount of sperm and fertilize her own eggs. It's very rare but has happened before under similar circumstances. If this is in fact what has happened here, document it with pics and note how many fry you have and how they develop. Good luck.

you lie:swear::liar::nono:.........I was beleiving you for a minute there untill I came upon this post......If not, post pix, and we will help.........Sounds really intresting for your first topic as a member........Hmmmmmmm.Post those pix, we will never beleive a Red Devil asexually spawning a proven spawn.........Highly intresting if REAL...........Fish may be worth a lot a money.............
 
Well, I know snakes can do it. Why not a lone fish that's biologically convinced there are no more of its kind? But wouldn't it happen often enough to be somewhat heard of with all of our lone-wolf wet-pets? I mean, there are a lot of us with one big tank with one big fish in it and that's it. These lone fish should feel the same pressure to replicate themselves and the ability...perhaps it's as rare as albinism? So many questions and I feel they won't be answered.
