What's a picture going to prove? One fish in a tank with wigglers? I can take my male out and take a picture of my female alone in a tank with wigglers, doesn't mean he was never there. I'm not buying this, somthings fishy about this story.

yeah i would really have to see this happen with my own eyes to believe it. parthenogenesis has been documented in lower life forms and certain species of reptile and there have been unconfirmed reports of it very rarely occurring with some amphibians and reptiles that dont normally do it but as far as i know hasn't been reported with animals that require external fertilization of their eggs, and while some animals like sharks have developed ways of holding onto sperm for years before using it, these fish have not attained this abillity and that abilitiy is also for animals that use INTERNAL fertilization. so it really has to be from the plecos or something, if anyone has heard of either a confirmed or unconfirmed report of parthenogenesis with an animal that utilizes external fertilization i would be very interested in hearing about it

livebearers can hold sperm for up to 6 months of fertilization but i know cichlids or other species cant but doesnt me it couldnt happen tho.
