Help me identify my fish!

If I buy a way bigger tank can I keep my oscar, gt, and red devil together? I have seen pictures of tanks like that. I guess I thought you could keep all south american cichlids together but apparently not.

You could keep the oscar and GT in something like a 125, and probably keep some other fish. It's going to be dicey with the RD, you could get lucky and be able to keep all 3 in said 125 but some RD's are complete SOB's when it comes to tankmates. How are they getting along now (besides the dovii issue)? Also if that dovii's been in there for awhile they may be so stressed by him that they don't bother each other...possibly once the dovii is out you'll see one of your other fish become dominant.

Yeah right now they get along well. probably because of the dovii. My Oscar is pretty nice though and he only fights fish that force him to. The red devil is surprisingly the most docile (besides the dovii) he backs down to anything, just a fat baby right now though I hear they get huge and mean. I was thinking at least 125gal. I want to set up a sweet SA tank and the only one I really care about and won't part with is my ~9" red Oscar. (and I like my baby peacock bass too which is in another tank) Any suggestions? Texas Cichlid?

get a 180 and some dithers and those 3 should do alright. just need a large enough footprint where they can each have there own territory, and put in some visual breaks so they dont have to look at each other all day. (i currently have a community of 8 oscars, 6 red devils, 2 jags, 2 tinfoil barbs, 2 crenicichla sveni, 2 convicts, 1 red bay snook, 1 gt, 1 jd, 1 pacu, 1 clown knife, assorted cats and plecos.) so i know for a fact those fish should be compatable given enough of a footprint.

ill take it if you feel like shipping it to me. ;) think it might make an interesting addition to my community.
