nuts...! And people keep stingrays in a standard 2ft wifth. even if the stingray grows up to be 2ft. it stays there? my stingray is about 7-8inch diameter, please keep that in mind.

yes but you need to account for the tail and alantic rays have long tails...how long is he?

i cant belive this thread is still going

the tank is way way to small and unless you sort it out within the next 2 months then sorry but R.I.P for that ray

the little white worms you are talking about are normally down to left over food in the tank

im always blunt so at the end of the day

sort it or kill it the choice is yours

im not tryin to sound like an ***

I am.

You should quit keeping rays, and large catfish.

Try it when your 'grown up' and can afford to live on your own and take care of yourself, let alone an exotic animal.

Your stories are ridicolous. I don't believe anything you say, especially if you don't post pictures. You read the book 8 times, and still called it deaf curl? You had your parents destroy a DIY pond with hammers? You've had dozens of RTCs? Some of these stories might be true, but C'mon dude.. You aren't going to win an award by being the coolest kid on MFK. Common sense has to kick in at some point?

Understand, MFK is here to help and we love to give advice, but we don't give advice based on the idea that you can kill your pets and 'learn from your mistake'.. We ask you to research first, but when it becomes a circular cycle of inanity, and your not willing to learn or take appropriate actions for the animals in your care.. we have no better advice then to tell you, PLEASE STOP.

This is what I myself am trying to tell you, you are not well suited to keep Stingrays as a pet.

Ever try guppies? :D Sorry for being an ass.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TOO 'LIVE ON YOUR OWN' OR BE GROWN UP TO KEEP EXOTIC ANIMALS!!!!!!!! WHAT RIDICULUS THING TO SAY!!!!!!!

I am now 17 and am confident that if i did the right research about a fish, and was able to accomodate it i would be able to keep it successfully.

Fair enough, this kid is a bit lost with these and how to keep them, but you should never make such a sweeping comment.

Carl.

Miles lays it down around here!!

While I agree with Carl that you dont have to be "grown up" you just have to have everything OKed with your parents first.

Im only 21 so I guess Im grown up but in alot a ways not so heres what I will tell all the 16 year olds out there. LIVING AT HOME AINT BAD!!! Life is expensive and enjoy it while you can. Some one here said its MY room therfor my parents shouldnt come in. What kind of bull **** is that?! Did you buy that room? Do you pay the electric bills? Who feeds you? What about your car and who got you to and from school/work/sports when you didnt drive?

Baisically I was the same way when I was that age. But honestly your parents are doing SO much for you its hard to imagine untill you do it on your own. If it means you cant add that bajillion tank in their house so be it. Be thankful you are fed and have a roof over your head. When you do get out on your own and IF you have the space and money by all means go for it, but meanwhile understand where your parents are coming from and by God respect them!!!

Harsh aren't chu?...:screwy:

Few reasons i own two cars, I make all the payments for them myself and i pay all the utility bills and my credit card bill, insurance for both of my cars, pay for my own gas always buying food for the house, my life is too stressful, that is why i keep fish to meleow me down and not to be able to see me walking on my bedroom celing. I just thank full to be alive.

and all yall saying deaf curl?( that was a typo, i was tired and sleepy)

on top it off!? Yes, i lost so many rtc in my life, Well guess what? I manage to keep one rtc that survied 3 times frorm heavy amout of fungis all over it's body to the point it hardly can move. And also ick. I had my RTC for 1yr 8 months, I had my tigers, for 1 1/2yr

If I'm so lost? I wouldn't work a full time job. i just work part time.
