Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking, either more sunfish, or if I can get hold of some black crappie or yellow perch I would consider those as well

I was under the impression a 210 wouldn't be big enough for a Lmb anyway, the ones down here get BIG, I could be wrong but either way they won't work with my current stock so maybe one day, but not in this setup.

You ever thought of getting a bowfin?

Yeah, I don't think they would work well with my smaller sunfish. Might have a couple come up missing lol

Hmm, haven't really thought of bullheads, which species would be ok in a 24" wide tank? I know I catch some around here much larger, plus the ones in some public aquariums are crazy big... is there any smaller species of them?

Those might not be bullheads then. Bullheads around here only get around 12-18" and could probably work in your tank.

Bass and bowfin would definitely need a bigger tank.

Do you have any pics of the sunfish? Someone on here could probably help ID them

That's a blue cat in the link. White cats are the biggest bullheads, and they don't get much over 2'. The other common bullheads can get up to 18", but are usually little over 12".

Your sunny looks like a straight redspot to me.

I wouldn't do the pickerel, they are just to stinky and slimy. There's no way to skim it and it would cover the surface area of your filter media creating a pretty nasty film and rendering your filter media useless.
