blacks are rare! expensive! and south america is making it harder and harder on the ban on these guys....so it might soon be an illegal fish unless you already own one or have a pemit. You will always run into a silver but a black, not so much.....also silvers get big fast so if you wanna upgrade in the future, you can get a larger tank and that silver aro you always wanted.

but is 30 bucks really that cheap for a black aro?

i think 300 is a little too much for a fish.

i only buy fish in the 20 dollar range.

how much do black aro's cost anyways at 6 inches?

My CK 7 inches picked on my 6 inch silver so I had to seperate them....it's usually a better idea to introduce them with a bigger arowana and smaller CK. Maybe introduce your CK after your aro got settled in.

silver prices vary from place to place, thats rather high.
