Luckily they are ok with it as he has his own office but they are not ok with anything too big. I am wanting to find a way for him to have a couple (non-mating) African cichlids.
I am in the process to trying to rehome about 80 (3 different species) and I don't want him to go threw all these constantly procreating fish!!!

Might be best with a couple of females, or blood parrots if you want no offspring. Curious, but what are you trying to rehome?

Does it rock 100% of the time?

I can't imagine that living on a boat for 3 years rocks that much:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

No, but seriously, I have been on large ships before, and most of the time you hardly feel the rocking. If he is on an aircraft carrier, he should be good unless it is caught in a storm. He should find a way to secure it, but I doubt than on a ship that massive he will need something even remotely as complicated as gyroscopes. Good luck with the project, and I hope you two are reunited soon!!!

all are African cichlids (from lake Malawi )(SP)
Aulonocara jacobfreibergi
Pseudotropheus saulosi
Gallireya Reef

or as I call them, lemon Jakes, the blue ones and the yelow ones!!!! lol I have 4 tanks set up (nothing bigger than a 75) and I just can't keep up with them, I have too many babies to separate male/female adults. Luckily they are all dimorphic so that makes it easier top give them away, when it comes to the adults. I have about 60 babies in a tiny 10 galln tank and I just can't find enough homes.I did give about 20 away ealier today but I have 6 more holding in one tank and although I have avaoiding them releasing in the tank I am looking at a feeing frenzy happening while I am out of town his week.

He has only been on Carriers but this new ship isa small ddg with a crew of only 300, tiny compared to the floating cityof 3-5000 he is used to.

oh, then I am as clueless as you. Still, good luck

Firstly, you want to get rid of all the FEMALES! This will stop the breeding. Then you can focus on either rehomeing the fish or feeding them to the bigger ones.

i wouldnt be able to spend that much time away from my wife(if i had 1 :(/friends/family...i hope this all works out for u...i'm sure he'll love it!!

It has been hard but luckily he will be stateside (in Cali) today to 26 so our son and I are heading that way tomorrow for a week. They spend more time sailing around than home.
I'm hoping I can find some way to get him a tank.

Thank you

Given that they (females) are the ugly ones, I would love to, but I have put them on Craigslist for free and everyone is a no show. I do have a problem allowing them to be fish food, but as about 5-6 will release while I am gone this week, there will be a feeding frenzy. I have stopped removing the holding females but even that was hard for me, I'm sure I will find it easier to just let it happen (be eaten), just as it would in nature. I know, suck it up and enjoy the frenzy!

Where in FLA are you?

I'll get with Repair on this.

Your going to ship this to him right?

Have a safe trip.
