Oh, that's a shame because they are really nice aesthetically, but I've learned from the ornate I got, it's better to have a butt ugly(not that any polypterus species are) fish that's fun to watch than a pretty one that just sits around.

My Weeksii is so so on activity but then again he is in a tank of logs (endli,ansorgii,moke, and the weeksii).... I keep my tank dark with a dark grey sand so there is always some movement but they are all young so I am guessing it will dimish with size.
