HELP - Midas has strange red patch

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
90mg of Levamisole HCL will treat 10 gallons (38 liters). If you are using pure levamisole then ~75mg will treat the same amount of water. You'll have to do the conversion to liquid measure, I've never used it that way.

My bottle says 15g/l, and the bottle is 500ml, so there is 7.5g in my 500ml bottle.

my tank is 660l, so 660/38= 17.37 lots of 90mg = (17.37*90)/1000 = 1.56g required for a 660l tank.

500/7.5 = 66.66ml required for 1g

Therefore: 66.66*1.56 = 104ml of my bottle should treat the tank....is that correct?

Also is there any scheme of water changes needed? do i dose the tank then water change the next day or anything?

thanks for your help

As a side note, I checked the Midas this morning all the redness seems to be gone, there is a small amount of scale damage but nothing growing on him any more!!!

The math looks correct. It's good to hear the Midas is getting better, sometimes when one med doesn't get the job done switching meds is necessary. In this case we were able to get the correct medacation for the job. As for using Levamisole I would dose as required for tank volume and do a 25% water change after 48 hours.
