ok i just learned a lesson,it looks as if the big guy ate my 8-9 inch poly sen:{ will he live or was this meal his last?why is he slimming?

i never heard of a rutine water change every three to four days being unhealthy?you must not keep rays.
maybe he did not read there are three arowanas(30 inch,27 inch,and 25 inch)and 27 polys(7 of the polys are 18-22 inches)I feed them a bunch i like sausages so i do good water changes,I have never had a problem before?

I have been changing up to 70% on my ray tank 3x a week and 100% once or twice a week on my Endli tank for a couple of yrs already with no harm.depending on your fish load some ppl have to change much more water than others.
All I can think is he's hurt inside from swallowing the little guy. Let's hope he can digest the lil guy. Slimming could be like human sweating
Parasite always presents in tank and fish. It's just the matter of who's in charge, fish or parasite. That's why one fish could get sick, while the other is healthy, although both are in the same tank
