Help! my arowana is acting strange

I've had him since February of this year. He was only 2 inches long when I first got him. He's a real fast grower....well over an inch a month.

So tell me has been acting like this all the time or just latley?

What you have is a tail bitter, the aro swims in circles trying to bite it's own tail. Does the tail look shreaded?

One thing that will help is add some floating plastic plants, if your aro has to pay more attention to were it is swimming it will help deter the attention away from it's own tail.

Actually he has acquired a couple new tears in his tail since he started doing this. I thought it might have just been from him freaking out and hitting decorations in the tank or something. That is really funny, kinda like a dog chasing his own tail I've actually thought about adding some water sprite to the tank anyways...I guess I will go ahead and add some now. Thanks for the info...I'll let you know if it works.
