help! my bgk has ich!!

salt will work even without a heater but the heater will quicken things up alot. I used aquarium salt for the same problem before and worked fine. What temperature is your tank at right now without a heater? My tank was at about 26C at the time.
 
my tank is at about 80f will table salt work some say it will some say it wont.
 
im going to buy a heater and some aquarium salt its really not that expensive and i want this fish to make it. thank you for the advice and sorry for coming off as cheap. im just a little poor but hey whatever it takes.
 
I've heard people using an "alternative" salt but i don't think it's normal table salt. As has been said, aquarium salt isn't dear anyway :) Heater, yes you'd be best with one especially if you're unsure on how low the temperature drops during the night. All tropicals should really have a heater but then, i'm in a unpredictable country lol :(

I should say that they are the first aid procedure of the tank.
 
don´t use table salt it culd be fatal (NaCl) sodium chloride as you can se from the composition it has chloride, better get some aquarium salt it´s not expensive and it is exactly for what you need the heater is not expensive, it´s for your fish(friends)

 
the salt i was thinking said something like evaporated sea salt
