help! my bgk has ich!!

update: my bgk also had fin rot when i bought him! i cured both the ich and the finrot now hes doing perfect. i bought aquarium salt and a heater and i used this stress coat and gave him daily water changes to get rid of his fin rot.

Why use meds when heat and salt will do the trick and are so much safer though?

ive been using ich meds on my cichlid tank for 4 days.... didnt help a bit.. im on my way to the lfs to buy some aquarium salt thank you for the info even if it wasnt directed to me...
