HELP! My crawdad escaped last night!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mine crawled out before, turned the room upside to looking for it... finally found it under my bed in the other corner of the room.

Of course it was a little extra crunchy by then... :(

heres a pic I took of her the other day:

nice pic i hope you find the cray soon hopefully it didnt get outside..hopefully thought its a lesson learned type deal try and keep the tank locked down as good as possible..there escape artists..

check around your birds cage, and closets. lol this is why I don't keep many inverts anymore.. they have a perchant for takeing a stroll on occasion.

I know when I have brought new kitties home, they are inclined to bury themselves in a tight spot and hide when anyone is home, waiting to come out until it is safe. I've found them in the weirdest spots.

If you haven't already checked (although it wouldn't hurt to recheck), you might try looking:

-INSIDE your furniture (I've pulled animals out of the back of a recliner before)
-inside kitchen cabinets
-behind the fridge
-inside closed drawers

Depending on how clean you keep your house and how often you dust, you may also be able to find a dusted trail or a spot where a cobweb is broken that will give you a clue.

Good luck man!

Also, just because you don't THINK any animal would fit somewhere, doesn't mean that they haven't figured out a way. Don't discount any little hole or cubby just because it looks a little small.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but i've found her today and she's alive! She managed to make her way into the sump of my 210 gallon aquarium (which is only an open 55 gal aquarium), and made herself a home behind my matrix biomedia. I decided to clean my sump today (its been filthy due to my crappy ebay filter socks), and scared her when i removed the biomedia. I guess she's been eating the gunk and old food that gets sucked into my overflow.
