Mix Borax bleach with icing sugar they eat it and die but they also carry some back to the nest.

I filled in the cracks by the door they were coming in from with soft scrub bleach gel. The ones that were trapped inside afterward got vacuumed and dumped. They came in because our bird is a messy eater, but a new cage stopped the problem.
Keep all of the vegetation away from your house, I had one branch that touched a window. The little bastards used it like a bridge. Also check for leaks. I have been told that ants are constantly seeking water.
