I haven't used microbelift's prazi before but most prazi's are gentle meds, so follow the recommended dosage on the back of the bottle (if you decide to do this treatment). Can I ask what your quarantine tank is like? The last thing you'll want to do is stress it out even more so use water from the main tank, then dose some prazi. Good luck, buddy

hi raynado tks for the replies .... gentle meds are good ... will try it out ... i have transferred my stingray to a 75 gallon tank ... i have lowered the water level ( i am not sure if this is necessary) and the tank now contains only 52 gallons of water. I have a sponge filter inside the tank attached to a small air pump and and 2200 lph power head attached to an overhead filter .... the tank has a little ammonia at .25ppm . Yesterday when i set it up there was 0 ammonia. I dont know why there is some ammonia maybe my tank is too small ?? the instructions at the back says to dose it everyday. Want to know if this is accurate and really necessary ... ??

by the way, i put some epsom salt in the tank yesterday. There is no noticeable effect today. The stingray somewhat chewed on the mp today and then spat it out partially chewed.

Chewing food is a good sign. At least you know she's hungry. Have you dosed prazi yet or just salt? I have used prazi continuously for several days so the instructions are correct.

just dozed with prazi now .. i mixed the prazi powder in a small container of water then shaked it before spreading it in the tank water. no noticeable violent reactions from the ray yet. hopefully she get better. fingers crossed :)

So is your hospital tank hooked up to a adequate filter that has live beneficial bacteria? if not you might kill that little pup with an ammonia burn as they produce tons of it.

Good luck with your ray
