You need a test kit, that is required. Salinity testers are around 6-8$ if you get a cheap one. You will want buckets if you don’t have some already, and if your water is salty or has harmful things in it you will likely need a water conditioner which depending on what you need will vary in price.

Nope, that’s a good food. I would not feed live personally. I would recommend feeding Hikari Gold and Frozen/Freeze fried shrimp along with the okiko.
