I’d just put the Oscar’s, Jd and pleco in there. Don’t even look at an arowana or gar unless you have a 8x3 tank. If you’re not a troll I suggest skipping the overstocking faze, it never goes well.

Tens of thousands of people say they’ll upgrade but life happens and they never do. Get the big tank first, then get the arowana.

My dad has it in his garage he used to keep fish and I’m just taking over it’s because there’s a bicher in it it’s been alive for ages so I can’t put small fish with a big bicher

How many water changes are you willing to do? I personally would go with one Oscar and no pleco as that is a big bioload already. Agree with the others on the gar and aro

What exactly is in the tank right now? Also, do you know what type of bichir it is? If you don’t or aren’t sure then that’s ok, if you can post a picture of it here then we can find out. If you don’t know how to post a picture then we can show you how to as well.

If you look back about a year ago i has a thread very similar about wanting some of these fish in a slightly smaller tank and i know how you feel. But the reality is get the fish that fit in your current tank. If you want bigger fish get a bigger tank first. If you already have the bichir than start looking at what you can add to his space, maybe an Oscar and a smallish catfish. Or a jd and a green terror and a smallish catfish. Then see how it goes for a few months before adding more

Actually after doing some research i find i don't really like Oscar's, i think they look cool and like the size they get but have no desire to keep one. With a tank that size i would do something like a chocolate cichlid, severum, and a few geophagus with a few bristlesnose plecos to keep the glass clean. Few other plecos actually clean and most are just pooping machines maybe even a couple pictus cats.

Hi 14 years old here wanting to add more to his predetor tank Will this stock work for a 5.5 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot aquarium 1 Florida gar 1 silver aro 2 Oscar’s 1 jd 1 flag tail 1 pleco 1 bichir 1 lima shovel nose will this work?

Honestly, to save yourself a load of unnecessary grief further down the line you need to have a serious rethink regarding this stocklist.

The arowana, gar and lima are non starters, and given the size of your current tank it is only suitable, imo, for your two oscars, that's it!

Your planned 250 upgrade would mean you could maybe add the flagtail and pleco to the mix too. Further down the line, when the fish are mature, I'd say two oscars, a flagtail and a pleco would pretty much max you out, imo.

I can't really comment on whether you could squeeze the bichir in there too, I don't have a clue regarding compatibility issues with the others.
