Yeah I did find out the NLS I have been feeding them was pretty expired but no one else seemed to have had a problem with it for the past month or so.... He honestly is fighting hard to survive. He is trying to swim with not much luck but he is trying. Will give him a couple more days hopefully he makes a recovery. Pacus seem to be nibbling on him so I might have to barrier them off.

Good luck man. My thoughts are with you.

thank you! he is actually swimming around now! I haven't tried feeding him yet but he is off the bottom of the tank and actually moving around! Look as if the pacus nibbled his tail a bit but I think he is going to make it through!

Do not feed him!

Lewve himbe and up the femps a bit.

Expired pellets may loose their componentes but they do not become toxic.

Hmmmm I'm really confused on what happened. The water quality was fine but I took out the sponge filters and rinsed out all the stuff in them. There was some dead crickets stuck in the penguin HOB filter. did a big water change and he really seems to be taking to everything. Should I not put any food in the tank at all for the pacus and the catfish?

Nope.seems you are feeding a lot already:).

Nithing foe 2 or 3 days.
