Privacy..... brooding fish may want eggs to "protect" eggs/fry by EATING them if they feel inadequate about guarding them successfully. I would stop feeding as soon as you see eggs, bump up temp for a faster hatch time and throw a towel over the tank half which has eggs. No peeking or disruptions. No need for methlyne blue. Medication will damage your bio-filtration with disasterous effects on young fragile fry. If one parent gets too aggressive towards the other you cam remove the weaker one or add a harmless dither fish for them both to guard against.
Pesonally I remove eggs and hatch and raise artificially but theres nothing wrong with you wanting to see parental cichlid care.
