My Oscars just gobbled up some marble crawfish I had breeding. They won't touch the Hikari cichlid pellets though.

I think a couple people here were right since it was in a big tank full of convicts this fish was living off them, I'll try to get him on pellets, wish me luck!

Oscars lay on their sides when they're stressed. Also FYI they can get spolied off of live food........

just wait it out it will eat eventually, i picked up some cichlids a couple of weeks ago the refused pellets ,i just kept offering them the pellets and nothing else, the female started eating them after about 5 days and the male was a right stubborn git but he started eating them after about 10 days.

I took him out of the pond 2 days ago and put him in a tub with some feeders the feeders are still there he did eat a small earthworm last night though.
