  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just follow the advice from your other threads, buddy. Water changes, aeration, a little salt, lights out, and patience. You don't want to keep dumping multiple things in the water unless it is absolutely necessary. Maybe try to post a picture so that we can see exactly what you're dealing with. Remember, you can just add any new questions or concerns on one of your older threads on the subject. You don't have to keep making multiple threads on the same subject. I think you're up to at least three on this same situation. Post a pic.
the reson i posted a other thread is beacause it he was hurt

Definitely looks like he has a parasite with that sunken gut.
This whole thing started after i put the catfish in there. He was perfectly fine before that. He is only 6-7 inches but you can't really see how wide he is from a side view. He should hopefully live. I filled the 40 gallon aquarium with water from my 75 gallon tank and my 30 gallon tank and used a little tap water i used water mostly from my cycled tanks so i didn't have to cycle the tank i put the Asian upside down catfish in the 40 gallon today I did NOT use water from my pearsei cichlid's tank though. How long can they live without food?

My pearsei cichlid is doing a little better but can i buy a medicine that heals wounds. Tomorrow or should i leave him alone and not add any medicine

From the pictures it doesn't seem like he is that bad. I would just leave him alone and keep up with the water changes. If things begin to look worse, then you could try the appropriate medication. A lot of stressed or injured fish won't readily eat. I would offer a little every day until he does eat. Try not to do to much to the tank. The Pearsei needs time and no stress to heal quickly.
