I know the exact seller from peru your talking about and there not true scobina, honestly if you want my opinion I don't think you can make any money with any of the rays on your list there just not profitable at all. Motoro cost more between food and bills to make any profit and flowers and tigers are not a sure thing. You might want to rethink this with rays that are profitable. Otorango are easy to breed but I have found the demand is just not there to get any good money for the pups. If you do go along with your plan I would just stick to the sure things and get very nice oddball motoro and otorango.

probably.

still i'm not very worried, because the money doesn't come from breeding in this project or if it ever does it will be a long time from now...

importing and supplying are the basis of the business

breeding is just something that we are gonna do for prestige and experience ;)

so i'm thinking of getting the extra motoro female and some flowers and give a try to flowers...

i have to have 11 species to fill up the ray breeding room, i guess flower like tigers and blacks just not yet, are a must in 11 types of rays... no?

THERE DEFINITELY ARE SOME NICE CASTEXI VARIENTS OUT THERE THAT PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR....., THEY GET BIG THOUGH...

i also love them, but maybe not just yet...

next time, otherwise i can't get another motoro...

still a bit too expensive

1st pic is one of my old True Flowers from Colombia/Venezuela.
the second pic is a castexi morph
Peru 'flowers' are a bit drab imo, and no money in breeding them.
The only interesting rays out of Peru are (imo) Tigers, so why not just concentrate on them for now?

i could get only one tiger i suppose. but it whould be like 750 unless i could find people enouhg around here to make sure the delivery is over 100kgs but that's kinda hard for now :(

one ray instead of 3 or 4 doesn't sound ans good :grinno: i guess

i that what you whould do?

i have 11 to pick... wich eleven whould you pick? and in those 11 is any of them in this list? try to go cheaper first ;)

and can anyone find a pic or has a pic of a flower from peru?!? to see the difference... ;)

While I am impressed with your thoughts and design of the facility, I think the whole thing is a little unrealistic.

You are having a hard time coming up with the cash to import a couple of tigers, a breeding facility is extremely costly.

I think it is a cool dream, one many of us has had, but stick with it as a hobbyist for a while. Stick with the smaller, cheaper species and breed some rays in your current tanks. Have some fun with it first.

I would definitely go for a pair of nice marbled motoros, lovely!
I see it's a long time investment, GOOD LUCK!!

there are nice castexi varients......, not as showy as others but still nice in my opinion......

Why do you want 11 different species most of which have never been breed in captivity? Better off with very nice otorango/castexi, marbled motoro and tigers as your best bet.
