I just brought this guy home and somewhere in the journey he's gotten one of his filaments tied in a nasty knot. Is it just going to fall off and grow back? Should I try to untangle it for him?

And while we're at it, can anybody tell me anything care-related about this fish besides what's easily deduced from the PC profile? There isn't much about these guys around.

I guess that's the problem with catfish. There's only four of us here who like something besides RTC.

Where is it tangled? If its not near the base, it will regrow just fine. I've had catfish tangle whiskers before, and I just left them. They either untangle them, or the whiskers break off where they are tangled. If it seems to be causing him trouble, then I'd go ahead and cut it.

Oh, yes. Pics to come. I've got him in quarantine now, once he's in a prettier tank I'll definitely snap a few shots.

You know we'd like pictures of him now AND later! LOL I don't care about the tank. Document it all! And where did you come up with this kitty?
