After transferring my new FH..to his 60 gallon..he jumped a few times, and hit his head on the lid...and ran into the glass...

He is now floating...a little tilted...he swam down and up a few times.... but is still sitting at the top of the tank..flapping his tail...

I want to know what I can do..as far as I know.. I might have just lost a $1k fish I purchased 4 days ago...a fish I love alot...

Im so tired of this ****.

I pray to god he knocked himself silly thats all..hes at the top..a little tilted.... he swam up and down a few times, and now in one position for ages

Ouch... I guess as said keep the lights off and hope for the best that hes okay...

Lites off and keep water clean, just leave him alone and maybe keep filters off for a couple hours to let him rest. Hopefully hes good, one time my rbp hit the tank as hard as he could and ended up fine. Ur good just make sure tank has oxygen transfer!

Oxygen transfer fine...hes just tillted slighting to his side...but i can tell..hes tryna swim... he swam up and down RIGHT after he hit the divider tho...

Putting him back in the 20 gallon is suicide at this stage right?

Jay give it time. Cichlids are pretty resilient. My FH panicked when I first upgraded it's tank and it just stayed at the top trying to hide too. Don't stress yourself out too much. Turn the lights down and let the fish destress. Good luck.
