help please... now!! big pbass spawn! need advice asap!

i have a new 20 long setup with sponge filters waiting for fry, im just not gonna go through the trouble until they have another big spawn like the second one they had

i got them at 3 inches around 16-18 months ago, been feeding six times a week since i got them on pellet, i give them a big variety, krill, silversides, massivore, aro sticks, cichlid gold, earthworms, sometimes bloodworms or mysis cubes too

the female fills up on pellet easy, but the male will only eat some pellet, he only gets fat off of silversides, which is kinda a pain cause hes the only one who even likes them, but there my babys so its whatever, haha ill go hungry before my fish will:D
 
I think the variety of food you give them is one of the key factors of them spawning...
 
i sold the orino today to another mfker, so now its just the monos and my suncat in that tank, have been too busy to take any pics yet
 
im gonna do a big cleaning on this tank today, if i can work up the motivation lol, move stuff around, make it more fry friendly, my monos still dont come out of there spot even with that hitler of an orino gone, they use maybe 20% of the tank, so im gonna make there spot bigger and make the area they dont use more open, hopefully i will have a few pics when im done

im gonna start feeding my male more silversides more often with there pellets, since its the only thing he will really 'fill up' on, that way he can catch up with my super fat female lol, i normally only gave him them as a treat like once a week, cause hes really the only fish i have that likes these nasty horrid smellin things lol, besides my bigger jur, but thats not saying much cause he will eat anything, except pellet off course lol, that would be too easy then
 
soooo i tryed to upload some pics and i apparently it wont let me for some reason, so i guess i will try later
 
ya the system crashed yesterday cant wait to see pics though!!! I cant load any pics and some of my old ones are gone.
 
well anyway, guess pics still arent working, i did a huge cleaning, since they've been spawning about once a month i haven't touched this tank in 3 months so it needed it. let me tell you though the female was pissed, she never left her spot, even as i was moving stuff and gravel vacin under her, i redid there spawning area, at the end i changed 40-50% of the water, upped the temp back to 86 from 84

i was worried for a min, still kinda worried actually, cause my male freaked out alot, and ran into the glass hella like a retard lol, afraid he gave himself brain damage or something cause hes acting really funny, but i suppose he could be acting funny cause they have never been able to cruise the whole tank cause of that orino, and now its just them, hopefully im just bein paranoid and all is fine. my female obviously wants to spawn, she cleaned off her area last night, and is super wide, they were doing circles, etc, so hopefully i didnt screw anything up and they will give me a good big spawn again soon

oh and i do have pics, just waiting to post them
 
all this male does now is try to swim through the glass like an idiot, doesnt stop just keeps trying to swim through it
 
I wouldnt have changed the tank if they were comfortable where they were and spawning with that arrangement going in and changing everything could disrupt everything. I hope that they spawn again! Good luck and congrats!
