Ok so yesterday around 9 PM, i did my usual 50% water change. Everything was dandy at first i suppose nothing out of the usual.
Wake up today, everything is still fine. Ray decided he wasnt hungrey but i kinda thought it was just the water change still messing with him, i left around 1:30 pm and i just got home maybe an hour ago around 1 AM.
and just about everything is dead. 5 silver dollars, 2 rotkiel severums, 3 dats, and a ray. all the cichlids dats etc were under 4 inches and the ray around 5" disc width. i test the water.
nitrite - 0
nitrate - around 10 ppm
chlorine - 0
temp - 82dF
ph used to around 7.8 and is now around 7.
could that have done it? that slight bit of a change?
i live on a well and we have recently got some snow/rain. i cant test for ammonia right now but my filter were left running during the change. so i dont think thats the issue but will test tomorrow. My ornate, del, and albino sene are fine and 3 severums are still alive.
75 gallon, 48x18x21
filtered by 2x Fluval 405's.
prime used to recommended dosage after change.
WTF HAPPENED!?! what could have possible caused this. was it the ph??
this sucks.
