so i looked at my fish this morning when i left for class all was fine. I get home and my 4 in mono is floating upside down but still breathing. i quickly put his in his own tank but he keeps floating upside down, however is still breathing. i put him it a net with a chopstick on his side to hold him upright. i really dont know wat to do any ideas?

Definately check the parameters of the water. Is it a new tank? If so, nitrite and ammonia might be too high?

man this sucks...he didnt make it my water params are fine and the other fish in the tank are healthy but i think that my bigger cichlid may have killed him its the only explanation.

when you say your water params are fine.. what are they exactly?
sorry bout your loss too..

where there evident signs that it was beaten by the other fish? where scales or fins missing?

ye his fin looked torned up and he look beat up. ph is 7.6-7.8 temp is 77 no ammonia in the water either

then he was probably beaten down by the other cichlid...may i ask what type of cichlid that would be?
