Help me I need Help now.I have a a senegal bichir for about a month now he have been doing fine. I just came down to my room and he was laying on his back under his mouth is all red and his eyes are all glassed over. he dosent seem to be able to open his mouth and his gills arent really moving he is flailing around abit to.He was fine just an hour ago swimming around normal please help!!!

First some info is needed. Water parameters, tank size, tank mates, diet, etc??

He just died I have know idea how he was fine an hour ago swimming around.The tank is a 55g it was just him a 1in sev and 2 angelfish.I was running a flucal 306 and a little regent filter I had lying around.The temp was 79f it had 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 5 nitrate. I have been feeding him new era pellets and hikari sinking carnivore and new life spectrum cichlid pellets.Was feeding twice a day a few in the morning and a few in the evening just enought till he had a little belly. 
Based on the info given, he could have just died or had something internally wrong with him.

The same thing happened to me with my delhezi. He was like two inches long alone in a 10gallon eating like a champ and then just died.

That sucks man.This is the terrible part of fish keeping.I had wanted one for a while then finally got him then got really attached to him and then within an hour he is gone.

Nope before I bought him I had sure top was sealed and he wouldnt be able to swim up any of the intake or even get stuck to them in anyway.
