HELP! Quiet 1 9000

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I took your advice and bought one when my mag 1800 locked up. It is still running after a year and I have not cleaned it yet.

Now I'm worried

i use the 4000 ones and i thought that was the largest one now i see you guys are talking about 9000's and 14000's thats soo cool

Yeah, here is the 4000 vs the 9000:

Personally I think energy efficiency and noise kill the deal for QO's larger than the 4000. Plus, if they break down on you in 2-3 years, then they arent any better deal than paying double for a pump that would last you many more years.

did the company email you back??? got a update??

They're replacing my pumps. They said they'll ship out this week.

I actually had the same exact problem on a QO 4000. Any time the pump was off during a water change it wouldn't start back up when I plugged it in. I would slam it on the ground a few times and it would come back to life. Eventually one day it never came back on. I am not running two Quiet Ones model 6000. They are much heavier duty and have been running for about 1 year now. You have me worried and I am now looking to replace them with higher quality pumps.

updates? I am thinking about getting a qo 6000

I have no experience with the 6000.

Their customer service is top notch. Actually some of the best I've ever had. They replaced all pumps free of charge, no questions asked, but I can't really trust them. The Q1 9000 is now my backup pump. The 4000s are still good, they just need to be cleaned frequently to avoid them from stopping.

Don't worry. The 9000 only looks impressive. The sequence dart outperforms it all around.
