It's vomit. Most likely tilapia. Polys will do that on their own if something is not right. You may see the endli arch it's back. Similar to a V shape to try to force the undigested food out.

Vancouver_98683 so that means my endli is recovering? im doing a partial water change right now tom. i will do the same procedure again the salt thing I hope im doing the right thing
If it's no longer floating upside down. I see it as a plus. I'd stay away from feeding entirely during this process. Once healed, there needs to be a good dietary plan and future tankmate decisions. If it is the only fish that eats cut up tilapia. Than you'll be fine. Cuz this buoyancy issue will happen again.
Good luck with your endli, sounds like you're on the right track.
Hey all - Is this one of the things that feeding catfish once a week will help? Or is that only for constipation?
Yes as beblondie mentioned that the oil of a catfish helps flash out what ever object or air blocking the digestive system, feeding a catfish once a week will be good, but do it when you are ready to do water change the next day.Good luck with your endli, sounds like you're on the right track.
